A Boy And His Grandpa

About 2 years ago I was in a fabric store looking in the clearance section (surprise surprise) Well I had Taylor with me and he found a print he just had to have for Grandpa a quilt, I told him NO, I just had made a quilt for grandpa and his cabin not long before this. Well he kept on bugging me and whining and he said he would make it for him, so I said Ok but YOU are going to make it ....Ya right!!! He did do most of the piecing of the blocks Mom had to help him do the finish work and he even did some of the quilting on it! Finally this year we finished it after many hours and a couple of times changing my mind on the backing for the quilt we finally got to give it to grandpa and of course Grandma too!!!

When the present was open on Christmas I think it was a big surprise, Taylor had kept it from him for over two years now, grandpa had no clue he was even doing this and him and Taylor have a very close relationship. As soon as it was opened the tears started to well up in grandmas eyes which is not a real big deal she cry's over things all the time but this one was a bit different for her and also for grandpa as he was definitely crying. It was a very Happy Happy moment !

Henry was absolutely speechless, trying to hold back the tears.

This is when I began to cry my self !! It was a very tender moment, I think grandpa was touched and very very proud of his boy!!!

Summer fun

This is a little bit of what we have been doing this summer.....
for those that don't know... I have been taking care of my niece for about a month and a half .
I have been trying to keep them all busy as possible, having two 2 yr old has been a bit of an adjustment for me, now I know what its like to have a set of twins(sorta).

We found this awesome park this summer, it is a pond that has a beach front and on one side you can swim and the other you can fish, it is the coolest place ever. The kids Love it!!

We have also had a lot of back yard adventures, Taylor has been very helpful with the girls, trying to keep them out of trouble is a big job.

We have also had a few adventures at Grandpas cabin, they also love it there, all new thing to get into.

We finally got to use the back seat in the ranger, the girls love riding back there as you can see. Just wanted to share a few pics with you all hope you are having a great summer as well.

Ring Around the Rosies

They were having way too much fun!!

They have such fun together, they are too funny they have to do what the other is doing, they have to have the same clothes if we go shopping together they want what the other is getting and If we make clothes for them , then they want the same thing. Jenny and i got the same fabrics to make them dress's , here Olivia is wearing what she call's her princess dress or dee haa dress, because it has princess's and horse's.

They were having so much fun!

I'm glad they have each other to play with!

Taylor's First Pinewood Derby!

Tonight was the big pinewood derby race for Pack 1205,Taylor's Cub scouts !

Here are some of the boys cars in the holding block awaiting the racing action !

Taylor's Red FORD tuff truck, KayKays blue wedge car and Logan's silver Lamborghini.

The Eagle car is Parker's,what an original idea,looks great !

Taylor won an award for Judges Favorite car(truck) they must have really liked the Big Red Ford !

I think he had fun,and it seemed as though most of the boys had a great time,lots of cheering and yelling going on ! There were a great variety of designs including a cool yellow "short bus" a grey skull car that said awesome on the front,a blue LA dodgers car,Orange rocket car with cool silver engines,A white Milk car,silver Lamborghini,Eagle,an American flag,and a host of others that were equally impressive.All in all,the kids seemed to have a great time,and most are already planning a showdown next year !

(oh did I forget to mention that he Won first place???) Waa-Hoo Way to go Taylor!!! It sometime helps to have a racing Dad!

This is My sweet Boy Taylor......He really loved his quilt he got for x-mas! I made a matching one for my granddaughter Isabella and started one for Olivia, I was a very busy girl at x-mas time. I did Finish a paper doll x-mas quilt for Olivia but never got a pic of it, maybe next time I will post a pic of it.

Here it is on his bed, with a matching pillow case!
It feels so good to get some of that fabric used up I'm way behind on project's.
I'm so happy to have a boy who appreciate the quilts I make for him!

My Dear Friend Pat had a birthday in February, and guess who forgot it? Yep it was me alright!!:( So I had to make up for it and I made her a bag... a HAPPY bag.... see below....

Miss Pat is my visiting teacher, So I used that opportunity to make up for totally spacing off her birthday and through her a SURPRISE merry un-birthday! See she has the lesson in hand!

This is her face after I brought her into the kitchen were everybody was waiting quietly to surprise her.

Here is the beautiful cake that two lovely lady's spent alot of time on (Shanelle and Jenny) Since pat Loves Cinderella, they did this gorgeous and YUMMY cake!! Thank you Lady's for Helping out with such a great party!!!

Little miss Cinderella here had an accident before the party and we had to do major surgery on her, but she came out of it ok!!!

This is sweet Princess Olivia!!! She makes the most beautiful Princess!!

Isabella Came to visit us this weekend and she brought with her dress ups, it was so cute, she let Olivia wear one of her dress's. Olivia LOVED IT!! I guess I know what my next purchase for Olivia is......

Here is the Princess Isabella!!! Her and Olivia were fighting over the one crown we had in the house. Now I know why her mother calls or a drama queen! Wow everything was a crisis and then some. I think she just is not use to sharing time with her Mema or toys or really anything else. She was constantly asking why does Olivia get this ?why does Olivia have that? I want one....

She is the most beautiful 5 yr old Princess EVER!!!!

Here is the Prince.....ss Taylor! He wanted to be in on this... he even tried the pink skirt on with his camo but i did not get a pic of that one. Dang it!! After all that princess Play Taylor and Isabella played army stuff. He was the Husband and she the wife and I think they had about or six baby's And they took them on to the battle field together as a family Isabella was even packing heat until she got shot and she dropped the gun on Taylor and actually hurt him LOL . It was the funniest thing to watch and listen to, Isabella kept telling Taylor... Honey..... can you get the baby's a blanket? Taylor... um I'm going to the army store. Isabella...... well Honey then Kiss me...lol They kissed just like a little couple. It was so cute! I can't believe Taylor played along with the whole thing.
My favorite part was his response to the Honey can you get the baby's blanket.... It was just like a man response I think I'm am going to have to teach my son some different way. I may have to limit time with his Grandpa and his Dad!!!jk
It was a great weekend and so glad that I got to see my sweet granddaughter!!!

I finally got to see My little Isabella she came to my house and stayed the night we had a lot of fun she was sure excited to see me!
Olivia and Belle were watching a movie! Olivia is such a ham look at the cheese for the camera! Aren't they so cute!

I don't think Bella wanted her pic taken, she looks tired!!

Bella and Papa reading book after Mema read about three or so to her she was still wanting more books. She is such a sweet heart and the most wonderful blessing ever!!!!! I love you B!! And I love you little miss O!!!!!

My sweet baby girl is 23 months TODAY!!! I can't believe that in one month she will be 2. Holy cow where has the time gone? She is growing up so fast and becoming a very independent little person. She is very much a momma's girl but Love's the daddy very much, and she is so in love with her brother or as she calls him (BUBBA)! She has been the most wonderful blessing in my life. And challenging at my age (LOL) I'm a grandma I'm not suppose to have children younger than my grand child! BUT Oh soooo happy she is with us. Mommy Loves you sweet baby Olivia!!!!

Isn't she just the cutest Five year old you have ever seen?

This was her request cake, chocolate with choclate frosting with pink and purple! Her Grandma Robin made the cake for her and I brought Tinker Bell cup cakes that were white so Taylor could have one, the boy don't like chocolate.
Here she is trying to be so still it took like five pictures or so to get this shot, she was bouncing off the wall's and kept looking away. LOL
Here are all the Girls at the party, Grandma Robin Invited us all over for Bella's Birthday, it was a very nice time. Bela seam to enjoy her self.

Boot camp started out with all the boys coming over and getting a buzz cut before we were off to the cabin in Rockport.

The Boys took turns buzzing each other, they had fun with that, first to get a cut was Private Shumway.

They thought it would be funny to first give him an old mans Hair cut, so they shaved a round spot on the top of his head.

Next was Private Taylor he got to have a couple boys working on him they also gave him a snazzy hair do.

They missed a few spots!!!

Oh com on Private Hill it don't hurt!!!

After they were all done Mom had to straighten it up a bit, here is the after pic. WOW what is this? Private Britton NOT getting a buzz? See what I mean about defiance? He did not want to get his hair buzzed, so he didn't.

These are our troops going to the cabin in the bus,AKA suburban! Don't they look so happy? (boy they don't know what there in for) :)

After going to the Cabin to drop off food and supplies we picked up an extra guest and headed to the local Pizza Joint! We sat and waited for about an hour for our Pizza, now this is a Pizza Joint that we frequent often and have never on the busiest of night waited this long NEVER! So Mom go's down to see about when it will be done, because the troops are getting restless and starting to get on some nerves, come to find out they have not got out pizza's done and they have not even started them, now if you did not have to pay before you get your order we might have just walked out. But they more than took care of us after they got our pizza's to us we all got to have ice cream from their parlor ON THE HOUSE!!! Yaaaah! Sweet!

See what I meant when I said the troops were getting restless? They started to sit in the baby seats, got into the knife and ice and everything they could thing of.

Finally Boot camp begins!!!
Here is part of the course were you have to balance on the barrel while walking it over to the other end of the rope. Easy right? Ya, for a nine year old, not for Mom!

This is the barbwire crawl! (this course not set up with real barbwire)

After crawling under the barbwire (aka purple rope) one of the troops had rocks down his pant and in his boots! LOL Sorry buddy mom could not resist!

This was really the start and end of the course, these are the tire walkers, ok well they were jogging through them.

After a few times through the course, the boys needed a little bit of all boy time, so Vince took them out and set up targets to shoot their AK 47's well ok they were just little BB guns, but did that not sound cool? Britton could not figure this thing out very well so Vince had to show him how it was done!

Mr. Baby sitter on duty! Private Shumway was so cute with Olivia, she just adored him, she would not leave him alone, where ever he went she was sure to follow and proceed to climb up were her was! All in all it was a great weekend for the boy! Mom on the other hand is TIRED! That was exhausting!! Woo, done for another year!

This years fourth of July celebration was a little different from the rest, This year we had some good friends over for a special celebration. a celebrations of the freedom of our country and a person that I actually know personally. His Name is Kaleb Harris and he just returned from Afghanistan on Memorial weekend. He has become a special person in my life whom I had a lot of respect for , He is not only a soldier that has served our country but he is the father to my dear sweet Isabella.

This is a quilt that I made for him (with some help from my Pink Pickle. THANKS Pickle) for that service to our country. Thank you Kaleb for risking your life for all of us here enjoying the cushy life.

She really enjoys fabric, she enjoys laying on all the quilts tops that I spread out on the floor, Every time some one comes over to bring me there quilt to quilt for them she has to try it out and lay down on it. It's way to funny and cute.!!!

Olivia discovered this Jessi doll that was Taylor's a couple of weeks ago, since then she has not let Jessi out of her site. She absolutely LOVES her. If she loses her for some strange reason she walks around the house with her little hand held up suggesting were is she mumbling something that I don't really understand, but I know what she wants and she don't give up until she finds her. She even takes her to bed with her and has her in her clutches until morning when I pick her up out of her bed in the morning Jessi is in her hands. When i but her in the car seat Jessi is in her hands, she won't lose contact with her not even for a second to let me put the seat belt on.

See this is just after waking up!!

I did not notice that When I took these pics that the doll was in them also! What cute little girls!!! I Love My Little O and MY B!!! Look at the smile on her face looking at that doll.

She Holds her very close to her body.

Here she got distracted for a split second, when I went to pick her up she grabbed her from me like a dog taking back its food you just took. not quite that vicious but you get the picture.

She feeds her everything she eat and then some, she is quite the little mommy! She even gets wipes out though out the day and cleans her face and hands off. But She does have a clothe body and has a talker box in her and can not be washed, I'm going to have to try to clean her some how some day when I can get her away from her for a day.LOL Ya right!!

She sits with her she dances with her, if you ask her wee Jessi is she holds her up and gets the biggest smile on her face. I have never seen a baby this small like a toy this much.

And LOOK at Jessi she is Happier than ever she has Olivia for her best friend, and she don't seem to mind that she is dirtier than dirt!!

So yesterday, I was home most of the day with a sick kid, after taking my Mom to the Hospital I came home and ran around the house all day with very little to show for my effort. But I did get One thing done that i have been meaning to do, I made Taylor's Teacher This picture I found HERE. Hers was cuter than mine but I just used what i had around the house. Including used crayons.

I Thought that my tree out back of my house looked so pretty so I took a few more pics. We planted this tree for my oldest daughter Ashley when Taylor was born because we planted one for him to take a pic by each year to show how he grows, I wish we would have lived here when Ashley was born so we could have done the same for her. Course that Idea did not come until much later in my life.

Since I don't have much more room in my yard i think this might have to become Olivia's tree, it will have just had a head start On baby O!! I do have pics of Ashley by the tree out in front of my house and wow how that tree has grown since we moved here i will have to post about that later when I get my older pics switched to digital.

This one I was laying down on the ground to take the pic and when I got back up I discovered I had been laying down next to a SNAKE!!! EEEEKKKK ya that was exciting. NOT!!!!

Olivia had her bath and sat down to watch her show, not even ten minutes later I come in and she is fast asleep.

Today I was taking a show and Olivia came in with this on, I did not put it on her. She put in on all by her self.

She is a pretty independent little girl, she even puts on her own pants socks and shoes. One day she came out of her room with a complete out fit for me to put on her complete with a top a skirt and a pair of sox. She is too too funny!!

16 months that is, one of my friends is learning to be a photographer so we got to be her model, these are my shots of her, not very good I know! I defiantly needs lots of help and practice. But I did catch some good expressions of her. She is mommy's little sweet heart.

I think this one is a super sweet look on her face!

She was getting tired, her eyes started to droop she sat in the same place for a very long time oh and I found out she really likes barbies .

She would not put those dolls down.

Spring Break 2010

We took a trip to southern UT, we found some good trails to take the ranger on, Olivia loved to ride in the ranger, she was not afraid at all.

This reminded me of our days going to moab, picking our line to go up with out rolling the vehicle, here I rolled back and caught some air!! WAA- HOO!!!! Scary!

Here are my two little hams!

The kids were trying to get the bunny's to come to them, they actually got really close to them! Olivia is not afraid of anything, she reminds me of her big sister.

This is one of our camp spots, we had a few we ended up in Salina it was pretty fun there we stayed in a park called butch cassidy!

The Butch Cassidy park had a bird aviary, it was really neat!!

Taylor preferred to ride the bike with dad!!!

This was so funny, I leaned out of the trailer with the camera and said hey Olivia look over here, she leans towards Taylor and Hams it up!! What a cutie! I took a lot more pics but it would take all night to upload. You can check them out on my facebook.

Fun Filled Day!!!!!

What a perfect day! We started out going to the movies, we went to see How to train your Dragon, What a great movie..... so cute!
then we came back home and colored Easter eggs. Isabella kept telling Taylor I'm the putter in girl, she wanted to be the one to put all the eggs in the cartons, then she told Taylor, hey Taylor you can be the putter in Boy and I can be the putter in Girl. LOL

Isabella was so cute coloring eggs, she got a little carried away putting the eggs in the bowls, she colored three dozen to Taylor's one dozen. And just stuck her hand right in the colors.

Notice the purple is a little low?

Well This is Olivia after she dumped the purple bowl on her, By the way eggs coloring does not come out of clothes.

After the purple mishap we put her in her high chair with bowls and plastic eggs. She had fun any way.

She sorted her eggs, and put them all in one bowl, She started out with three.

Isabella's Grandma (Robin) and Aunt Andrea Came over after we all went to the movies to color eggs.

After coloring eggs, we headed out side to blow a few bubbles. They had fun with that, Taylor would blow the bubbles and Isabella would pop them...... with her tongue! Silly girl!!

Then after the bubble's ran out we went up the see the sheep. They loved that, the kids that is not the sheep, they were a little scared. LOL

It was a great day! Fun was had by all!!!

Taylor is ready for what ever may come his way! He makes a cute soldier, but I'm sure glad he is not one. Could Imagine your little boy in harms way? Not me, I don't even want to think about it! But somebodies little boys are over in Afghanistan fighting for our country! Risking their lives for our freedom. I pray for these men and women! It's weird that I actually know somebody that is over there, Isabella's Dad is over there and his parents have not heard from him since Christmas. I hope he is all right. How they must feel? Its unimaginable!!

Any way , sorry got side tracked. Vince has been finding Taylor real army gear on the Internet! That why is looks so big on him, its the smallest that they make. Taylor was a little bit upset that it was big on him, I told him, well they don't have eight year old signing up for the army son. LOL That helmet weighs more than his head!

Dad has also been taking him out for a little target practice, He is a great shot already!

He had so much fun, I also had fun picking up brass shells out there, its like picking up sea shells on the beach it's addicting, I could not stop my self. I know I'm weird!

Sledding at the cabin!!

Taylor and Olivia had a blast sledding at the cabin. We all went there over New Years it was so much fun. Olivia is definitely going to be an out doors girl.

Duchess had to get in on the fun too.

Me and Olivia rode on the sled as dad pulled us with the four wheeler.

We even hooked up Duchess to the baby sled, she did not do the hills well, the first time we hooked her up to a sled was when Taylor was about Olivia's size , Duchess took off up the street and scared poor little Taylor to death, she was much younger then , now she can't really pull the sled Taylor had to push it from behind. :(

She does love to ride on the wheelers!

The kids got out on the road and its a little bit down hill, but the sled was picking up speed and Vince started running after it and then went sliding and diving to catch it, it was kinda funny to watch.

Olivia Got a new sled for Xmas. So today it snowed, so we took her outside to play in it. I think she enjoyed it very much. I thought about hooking the dog up to it, but the last time I did that Duchess took off running and scared poor Taylor, of course she is a little older now she probably can't go that fast anymore. I will have to work on some sort of sled harness for the dog.

Wow!!! My sweet little baby girl Olivia turned one today! I can hardly believe it has been a year already. Why does time fly by so fast these days? You would think getting older it would not go fast, it would be sllooooow....... My little sweet girl is just a little peach , I love every single thing about her, even when she is getting sassy, YES she is getting sassy already, did not think a one year old could throw such a tantrum. It is mostly in a fabric store when she want to feel the fabric and look at the fabric. What have I done she is a fabric nut, she gets mad when I show her fabric and don't keep it in the cart with her, she wants it and she know her pink fabrics too, she searches for them, too funny!

Carving Pumpkins

Bryson, Ashley and Isabella came over to carve pumpkins with us. Here Olivia is checking out the guts.

I wanted to take a few pics of B and O in their matching skirts that I made for them, don't they look adorable? Little miss B was trying hard to get Olivia to hold still for the pic, O was not too happy about it!!!

Olivia don't like sister much, look at the look on her face, maybe one day she will like her, she really don't like anybody but mommy, I was thinking it was because she is not around much but she sometimes does the same thing to Vince.

Everyone came over to carve pumpkins, but Bryson and I did them all, gutted and carved!

My Sweet Peas

Here is my sweet little pea pod, grandma made Olivia peas in a pod I call her sweet peas! There were three peas on the costume but the other peas would not fit. They kinda get in the way of crawling, they were making her mad, she just ripped them off. Wow she is cute!

This is my little cute pirate boy, grandma also made his costume, to his specs, he had to have brown pants that were torn looking. Hope they get to go trick or treating Taylor has been out of school for the last three days, but feeling much better today.

Now I know these Pictures are blurry and here is why, Well Ya see she was in such a good mood and I kept sitting her in the spot I wanted her in and she kept popping out of it the sec her little butt hit it, and then would just laugh, she is such a little stinker.

Meet Bob, he spells it backwards. This is Taylor's new Turtle. My mom had him since he was a baby, he was about the size of a half dollar, very small. She was no longer able to take care of him. Of course his name was not bob, we picked him up and Taylor ask what we should name him, I told him grandma said his name is big boy, Taylor said NO what about Bob? You know mom the guy that comes in the shop with the black Corvette? I said ya, he said Him I said OK so we named him Bob. Except this Bob don't drive a black Corvette, he just sports a 10 gal tank with some fancy floating rock and stone in the bottom.

He try's to burrow down in the ground, puts his bum in the air. Silly Turtle!!!

Olivia like to chase Bob around in the grass, Bob moves pretty fast, I thought turtle's were suppose to be slow? Not this one!!! Bob in the corvette is a pretty fast mover too, 11.99 sec. in the quarter mile! I haven't clocked Bob the turtle.

Taylor's Picnic

Here we are at the top of the mountain in rock port. Taylor had planned a wonderful picnic for everyone, he was so excited the night before he had loaded the ranger up with all the thinks he thought we should have on our picnic. He loaded enough chairs for everyone and some tables ,paper towels ect. He discussed the picnic menu over with grandma and every one accommodated him. He drove us up, up, up, the mountain then we got to the top and it had a lovely view on both side of the mountain. He sat it all up just how he wanted it. It was so fun and very sweet of him to think about. I love this boy!!!

You would never know that there were cabins in this picture, we could see ours from here although it was a little spec you could tell which one it was.

It got a little cold at the top all grandpa had in his four wheeler was a poncho

First grandma gave him the picnic table clothe to cover up with. We ate our lunch and looked t the beautiful view and then loaded up and went back to the cabin. He was so happy and proud of him self. Oh wait maybe that's me being proud of him. He is a great boy.

What a beautiful couple, they look so very happy! The day started out beautiful, we had a lovely luncheon , that Dean and Becky organized, for the the whole family. Its was very Yummy and oh so sweet of Bryson's Parents.
I still can not believe we have a daughter who is now married. I told Vince as I was Changing Olivia's diaper that morning, that it was just not right to have one daughter getting married and changing the other one's diaper.

They Had the whole thing catered by a neighbor and she did an excellent Job, everything was very beautiful besides The food.

Taylor is the most Handsome ring bearer and Isabella is the cutest flower girl, everyone rushed so fast down the aisle and the aisle was very short, Isabella was not done with her flower petals so she said I'm not done and went back down the aisle spending her petals all around.

I saw this House in Midway and thought it looked so cool so i pulled over on the country road and snapped a few pics. I thought it looked like a mushroom, it is the coolest house I have seen, it looks like it straight out of a fairytale, I want to live here!!

The whole place was surrounded by this stone wall, very pretty, even the back yard had a fence like this complete with the arch way. I love the charm this house has, it also has a bunch of other building on the property.

Saying goodbye to one of your baby's is not easy, luckily I did not have to see her driven away by her new owner, Vince delivered her to SLC , We got this car a few years back from a guy in Grantsville, he figured he would never restore her so somebody should . It was just a waste sitting in storage. So we bought her brought her home and give her tender loving care, took her heart out, suspension overhaul, transmission overhaul , give her a new makeup job and some new carpet. The guy that owned the car before us had owned it since High school, when we picked it up, his mother was none too pleased, when his brother found out he was also upset since it was his car before that. Now her is the good part of selling this car.
1. we get to pay some bills
2. the purchaser to this car is the guys wife that we bought it from.

Yes the guys wife bought it and plans to surprise him with it on Friday for his Birthday!
Is that not so cool?
He found us this year at the car show and ask if we would sell the car back to him? We said we would have to think about it, so we called him a few days later and he had to talk to his wife, now he had not seen the car yet so they came to look at it, he talked about all the time after that, so his wife decided to get it for him.(I LOVE IT) how sweet is that!! I wish I could see the guys face when he get his car back. That would make it worth not getting the money I thought the car should bring.

She turned out good.

Me and Olivia getting ready to go to my brother's wedding, I can't believe my baby brother is getting married, I'm old enough to be his mother. And in just one month my own daughter is getting married. Wow Her and my brother are just 6 month apart. I am so happy for her and her Husband to be they seem so very happy! Boy time fly's, before you know it my little Olivia and my dear sweet Taylor will get married! I hope it go's by not so fast this time around, with my daughter Ashley time flew , where did it go, it seems like she was just a baby yesterday. To all you Mom's cherish the time your kids are small, because before you know it they are all grown up getting married and making you a G-ma.

I made matching skirts for me and little miss Olivia! Are they not the cutest? And it was all from my stash of fabric, I did not buy one single piece for this.

My little Baby Olivia is 6 months old now, it has gone by way to fast. She is a half year old can you believe it? I can't I just want to bottle her up and save her for later. Does she not have the cutest little chipmunk cheeks ever? Every where I go somebody make a comment about her cheeks. Well they are pretty cute and kissable. Daddy calls her, his little pork chop! I hope that one don't stick , she might get a complex.

We had a little photo shoot today. She was more interested in the grass around her than smiling for the camera. She was smiling so big before we went outside .

What a sweet little face! I could just look at it all day! Oh ya I do look at it all day and kiss it too. She is such a great baby, she hardly ever cries, unless she is with dad than she screams. I'm glad in away that she is so attached to me, it would just be nice to have a little me time sometimes. She will be daddy's little girl soon enough, then I will have a little time, right now I'm enjoying every second of her.

I would invite this lady to be a pink pickle, if she was the quilting type! Yes if you did not here it , a lady drives this bad boy,or should I say bad girl. Her husband drives a purple one just like it, well almost just like it , this car has a 340 six pack motor his has a big block Hemi. It still gets up and go's with the small block, that's how she wanted it. She wanted the same basic car he had while they were dating. I love the color, these cars came that color from the factory, its named panther pink.
I liked the sign she had in the window. While I was standing there a guy was looking at the car, saying I would not drive that car, I told him, then he was just not comfortable in his manhood then I also told him the husband drives it everywhere. I say if a man is not comfortable driving a bad A car like this he just is not a MAN at all. Same go's for men who can not wear pink. Its a color get over it!

Corvette Convention in Vegas!

All of these where a part of a private collection! Just a big warehouse full of cars not just corvette! Vince and I decided we did not fit in with the typical corvette crowd's .You either have to be around 70 years old or in your twenty's, hardly nobody is our age. Taylor made lots of buddy's down at the pool, They could have been his grandpa or grandma but he played and played with them, it was pretty funny, he kept saying I gotta go met my buddy's at the pool they are waiting to play and I told them I would be back down there. He is too funny! And oh so cute! I had more pics but they would not load. I'll try later!

And rows............. this is just a few they wound clear around the building. The dealership that is was at also had a lot of corvettes on the lot!
This is the car show of all corvettes, on Fremont street in Old town Las Vegas! Its like out door shopping mall with casinos! Yuck!
This one is of the corvettes in the parking lot of our hotel the whole back half of the hotel is nothing but corvette parking, When we got there , their was a row of nothing but yellow one so we parked Tarzan there! This one is not Tarzan , it is just another yellow corvette.

Finally got this babe quilted. Now just need to bind it (not my favorite thing to do)any way just wanted to share a couple of picture of my latest creation. Me and my friend Pam made this quilt together. We combined our polka dot fabrics and made this beauty, she made hers and I made mine. She is done with hers, all but the border,and we are doing it a little bit different than each other. I will post pics of hers when she is done with it. And after I have quilted it.

Ok this is the most awesome thing since the toilet seat. Vince found a little tip on the Internet on how to clean the leather in your car. So I tried it. And it works so awesome!!! I can not tell you how awesome this is. And how I have spent countless hours in the past cleaning leather and it never has looked this good.On the Internet it said to use simple green and Mr. clean magic erasers on your leather.So I went out to purchase just that. I put water, YES just plain old water, on a Mr. Clean sponge and went to town on the leather in my Escalade. It is amazing, I could not believe my eyes. It came so clean ,and the pictures you are about to see do not do it justice! I also used it on the door panels, all that dirt down in the fine cracks, came out with little effort. I am so excited about this I just had to share. I hope this helps!
On this on I rubbed the right hand upper part of the seat, see the clean spot?

Can you see the line right down the middle of the seat? Left side is clean ,the right side is grungy! Yuck!!! Is that not the coolest thing ever?

TARZAN!!!!WAH HOO!!!This is one the the awards won at the autorama this weekend. It is for best in class. This one belongs to the pretty, little Fast,sweet ride of a car, the yellow Corvette (TARZAN)King of the Jungle (racing Jungle ) (street Jungle)Jungle Jungle!!!!!WAH-HOO!!!! We were not in the competition class but they gave us an award for both of the cars. We had to go collect them after the awards ceremony because we did not attend it.So, while I was doing that, they made Vince move the cars out. Now he had Taylor and Olivia and a set of corvette wheels and the rest of the stuff from the booth to move out, so he moved one car and left T and O in the black car then ran back to get the other car.He was parked clear out front by the road, so it was a long jog.We also received an award for the TRANS AM but they ran out of plaques so it will be mailed. It was a fun weekend!! Too long of a car show, 3 days worth, YUCK!!! We had never done this show before and I don't think we will be doing that again. Sorry these Pictures SUCK!!!

You know when you have a true friend, When they take so much time and effort (and fabric from their stash) on making a hand made quilt for you or your baby! This one was made by my dear SWEET friend Pamela, who is so very talented in the quilting department, for my sweet little Olivia. She makes up her own patterns for most of her quilt, its amazing,she is an amazing person and I love her very much, I think it was hard for her to do this quilt because she always works on most of her quilts at my house so she had to do it all alone:(

Stolen Prince!

Looks like Isabella found her a prince! Its someone elses prince but I'm sure her Mommy will share him! Isabella went with us to pick out wedding dresses she tried on a dress and was calling her self the princess and wondering around the store asking where her prince was, she had several lady's talking to her and saying how sweet and cute she is. Grandma Vance told her maybe she had to kiss something to turn it into her prince so she kissed grandma and said no you are not my prince, grandma said maybe if you kiss me twice I will turn into your prince,still no, then she wanted to try it out on me,still NO prince,I think this was grandmas way of getting lots of kisses and that's ok cause I got some of those kisses. Bryson came to pick her up and she layed one on him, and said yep that's my prince! Just moments before Bryson arrived grandma put some lips stick on her, so now Bryson got to wear the lip stick on his cheek! She is such a sweet little angel. I love you! Isabella. Love Mema.

Isabella was having such fun trying on little dresses, I caught her hugging this mirror and thought is was such a cute picture that I told her to hug the mirror again, she was not interested, so I told her that her sister was in the mirror and wanted to see her and hug her, she said (my sister!!!) She was so thrilled she started to play with her sister in the mirror. It was very cute.

Here Little Miss Olivia is helping Mommy quilt her quilt, she was not happy with the daddy , so mom had to strap her on the front and continue to quilt, she was pretty good through most of it ,as long as the machine was running she was OK, but I had to start and stop alot and she did not like that much.

Ashley, my Mom and I went to try on wedding dresses last Saturday , Here are a few that we looked at. This one was very pretty, it has pink flowers on it you can barley see the pink. I loved the bead work on this one.

This one is the one she chose, it was the first one she tried on and the last, everything about it was perfect, especially the fit, it fit like a glove. Its a very beautiful dress and when she walks it looks like she floats. I 'm sure it will look even prettier when her hair is done up.

Look at this Lovely image of ME! My Mom was over today for a visit and sweet Olivia was sleeping in the swing. She woke up and my Mom picked her up out of the swing, groaning at how heavy she was ,saying she was a little chunk baby I was also talking to her looking at her she started to cry very sad like, and I 'm trying to comfort her, and My mom was also, so I let my mom handle it and she calmed down, I was showing my mom my blog, my mom turns her around and I start talking to her once again she looks at me with this petrified look and started to cry again, my mom calms her again, then I started to talk to her again, same thing, then I realized I had those beautiful rollers in my hair and I was the one she was afraid of, after a few more times of talking to her she finally knew it was her mommy, but she still was giving me a LOOK!

NASCAR!!!!!

This is a view of the trailer parking from the roof of our trailer when we arrived to Vegas on Wednesday.It was pretty empty but filled up quickly.Now alot of people consider this redneck ville, well if owning a $350,000 dollar motor home is redneck then color me babe, I'm in, Gitter-done! Our 38 ft fifth wheel with two slides is an average size trailer down there, we were surrounded by the big bus type motor homes that have chandeliers hanging in them. Any way this was our eighth year of going to NASCAR as always it was a lot of fun, Usually they have a lot of giveaway thing like T-shirts sunglasses, mardi-gra beads and just tons of stuff, this year they were handing out packets of tums waa-hoo!!Its still nice to get out of town when it is so cold here in UT . We are thinking this may have been our last trip to NASCAR as it is getting very expensive to go, and we have done it for eight years so I think we need a different thing to do.

I put Olivia in the snugli and walked around Manufacturers row she got all kinds of attention, some people act like they have never seen a baby it was funny, one lady even ask if she was real, she said she looked fake. Maybe she drank a little to much the night before!

This is a golf cart made to look like a Shelby Mustang, a guy standing there informed me that they ONLY wanted $20,000 for one of these, it is street legal and all.

This year instead of it being sponsored UAW Chrysler, the sponsor was Shelby 427, all the years we have been going we get our pics taken at the dodge booth and ford booth.No booths taking picture, just mustangs and cobras displayed.

Something To Think About...........

This is a tragic story about a funeral my husband attended the other day, I was not able to attend because I had a sick kid at home and a baby to tend to. He told me when he arrived at the funeral home 15 minutes before the funeral was to start there was a line out the door , down the street and around the corner for a viewing.It took him 45 minutes to get to the door. Now I did not know this guy, but I did know his brother. Vince was good friend with the bother, and they both died the same way, they shot theirselves , Vince's friend over the break up with his wife and the brother was pulled over by police and had earlier been in an accident with a company truck. Now that is what insurance is for, can it be that bad that you have to kill your self? I don't think so there must have been more to it than that. And here are my thoughts: Have you ever been down in the dumps? Try to talk to someone and get the brush off or call someone and never get a call back or they just simply can't talk to you because they don't have the time? Maybe he tried to talk to someone and was left alone to deal with what ever it was he was trying to deal with, you never know just how much somebody needs YOU, if for nothing but to listen to them. And I'm sure everyone at least once in there life has felt hopeless, worthless like nobody care about them and you wonder what it would be like to die? Would anyone care?Sometimes you might think that every one would be better off with out you ! But that is just not true! Everybody is worth something, to someone, but we are too busy to tell that someone how much they mean to us , but we have time to go to a funeral and stand in line to see the dead body, that can't talk to you, can't hug you, and can't tell you how he is feeling anymore because he has taken his own life over a wrecked truck or was it more than that? I know one thing, the mother to those two boys does not deserve to go through this not only once but twice, her only two kids committing suicide. How must she feel? So please if you care about someone let them know while they are living, even if its not a suicide they could die at any moment you never know when that will be. And I'm not saying go out and talk to everyone you know, but just remember to take the time if someone reaches out to you to reach back, I think it could make all the difference.

This is a quilt I made for my Mother in law for Mothers Day of 2007, I found the teapot fabric and thought she might like it, so I found some other component's to match and put it all together, the pattern I used is called just can't cut it I have got my moneys worth on that pattern. It is a very easy pattern, plus it is very easy to pick fabrics for it, you pick a main fabric, one that is a large print works great, then you just pick five other fabrics for the pieced blog,easy peasy,I love it that's why I use it so much.

This is a quilt that I made for a special friend who was have her first girl baby! I made a quilt similar to this one for my baby girl and I used the left over stuff on hers, I love that you can get more than one project out of work and fabric.

This is the back to a quilt I made for a lady that donated the quilt to the no more homeless pets of Utah, the quilt was auctioned off and it brought $1350.00. Cool huh?

This is one of my favorite quilts that I have made,I love the color combination, it was very pretty fabric and I don't really like dog fabric, but this one was awesome!

This one was also using the just can't cut it pattern.

Last night I had a couple of surprise visitor's, in their hands were a couple of sweet treats. One, a box of beautiful sugar cookies and a box with a just as beautiful chocolate covered strawberry, that one was for the MAN of the house. Obviously my son thought that the sugar cookies were for him as he ate all but one. I have to say that I have the most beautiful,sweet, kind,generous,and thoughtful friends in the universe, nobody could ask for that much in a friend and I have happened upon it more than once , I feel very blessed in the friend department, I seem to pick the good ones or they seem to pick me, either way I'm very LUCKY. Thank you!!!!!

This dish cloth is so cool they had sewn a heart shape piece of scotch bright on the cloth for scrubbing! cool huh? Oh and so beautifully packaged!

Little Belle PEEP!!

Some body left their peeps on the couch(TAYLOR)and then somebody left Little Belle PEEP(ASHLEY)

and Little Belle PEEP decided she was hungry so she grabbed the closest thing to her, a box of opened PEEPs and started to munch and this is how we found her, she jumped when she was caught and looked at us so cute like, course Taylor was not amused at her cuteness, she had quite the sugar high! Any way just thought I would share some cute pic's , so here they are.She is about 5 month old. Its no wonder she is such a little sweetie she had all that sugar back then.

Here is the coolest car a teenage girl could have(well at least in my opinion) and yes I said teenage and girl. This was Ashley's car in her senior year of high school (spoiled BRAT)Ya her dad let her drive this car (even after I told him NO) and told her she could have it when she graduates with grades of a B and above well she got B's and Above so she got the car. It did not last long, the car was wrecked when we purchased it,Vince fixed it, the car then was wrecked again (by Ashley) $10,000 worth of damage (hood alone cost $2000) to say the least it took a while to fix the car (collecting parts)I said (don't give it back to her, she is not careful)Dad gives it back. After the car was officially hers it was wrecked again and that is the crash you see here,it was TOTALED$17,000 this time,( too bad to fix)BUT this time was NOT her fault. She was very sad, and so were her dad and I this car was going to be part of our Firebird, Trans Am collection.

The next picture you see of the windshield was the imprint of Grandpa's arm, we had all just gone to lunch and we were right in front of her in our 67 convertible Firebird, so lucky it did not hit that car, still not fun.

My Beautiful Oldest Daughter

This is me and my beautiful daughter Ashley.I just want to write a little something to her to let her know that I do love her very much I know she doesn't think so but there is some thing that she needs to know, that no matter how things are between us, a mother always loves her children no matter what, there is nothing that a child can do to make a mother or parent not love them. that love is always there.So, that being said ,here are a few pics of Ashley, for those of you who have not seen her for a while.

Breast Cancer Quilt for MOM

This is a quilt that I made For my mom For Mother's day 2007 , Well ok, so she helped with it, We actually started this project together I purchased the fabric and pattern and thought it would be a great idea to spend time with her ,so we got started right a way on making the blocks, after a few times of getting together we finally got the blocks done,my mom was not into pinning at all , so to take some stress out of it I went a head and finished the quilt,quilted and bound it and gave it to her for mothers day. To say the least I think she was very relieved that there would be no more pinning Yaaaaa! I had decided on this fabric because it was so cute for one, and my mom had breast cancer many years ago and survived (thank the Lord)so I thought it would be a good memory to go with the bad, hopefully to somewhat over ride the bad. I also made one for me but have never finished mine, I just need to quilt and bind it.

This post go's out to all you moms, daughters grandmothers and friends. My wish for you is this: if you ever have to endure such a thing you or who ever you know going through it you too will come through with flying colors. Best wishes to all, now go give that's special lady in your life a hug and tell her that you LOVE her.

This is Olivia's little doll Pammy, my good friend Kim made this little fleece doll and brought it to the hospital for her and it reminded me of my friend Pamela it just looks like her style (I LOVE IT)so I named her pammy after seeing a recent post on her blog that her nick name was pammy and I just thought it was cute so I named her.:) I have such wonderful friend! Yay me!

This a car seat quilt that I made for Olivia Pam volunteered to stitch her name on it and it looks fabulous,(thank you Pamela)!

Olivia's modeling debut:Here miss Olivia is sporting a fabulous quilt made my her mother, this is the one her mother made for her sister and decided to keep it for her self because it matches all the other things her mother made, for the car seat and the diaper bag.
Here Miss Olivia is showing you how versatile she is, she can go from one quilt to the other and not miss a beat. Look at that girl go! This is a quilt was made for her little cousin Lexus. You will notice it is not yet finished but Miss Olivia makes it work!

New Little One

Here is our precious new addition to our little family! Introducing Princess Olivia Bernice .

she came to us on Dec 2nd 2008 she weighed 7 lb. 6 oz and 20 in. long.

She has come to us 7 years after our dear sweet Taylor and 21 years after our

first girl Ashley, Yes they all have quite the gap in years, but in some ways its easier this way just raise one at a time , nobody can accuse me of have steps for children mine would be the steps of a giant. Anyway I just wanted to start this blog so that friends and family that live far away could see how and what we are doing since how I am so very bad at writing to people and sending cards and what not I figured this would count, I'm not trying to be lazy I just have a harder time at this then I thought I would. You know I am a Grandma and all, grandmas are a little slower moving, so by the time I get around to sending out notes or cards its three years down the road and people have forgot about it. Anyway Enjoy!I will post more later as I get the hang of this blogging thing!
